Tickets
How much are tickets?
Event tickets are $199 (inc gst) + bf for the regular event ticket or $206 (inc gst) + bf for the Green Ticket (which neutralises your average carbon emissions over a 48-hour period). Both of these tickets get you into the event, but if you buy the Green Ticket you can walk through those gates with your head held high knowing you’ve done the right thing. Hint hint.
Camping tickets are $132 (inc gst) + bf per person.
Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy?
There is a limit of 4 tickets of each type (i.e. event or camping) per transaction. Make sure you have the correct names and dates of birth for your companions. And of course you can only buy one ticket under any one name and date of birth combo.
If I can’t make it, can I get a refund?
Yes, but there are conditions attached. It’ll cost $20 in Refund Request Fees, plus you forfeit the original booking fees. Refunds close at 5pm on Friday 18th July.
If I can’t make it, can I pass it on or sell it to a friend?
No. Tickets are strictly non-transferable.
Why did I have to supply my name and date of birth?
It’s an anti-scalping measure we introduced in 2006. All tickets have the attendee’s name and date of birth printed on them and then the ticket-holder will have to provide matching ID to enter the festival. For the last two years there were no tickets listed on eBay and we believe we achieved our aim of having only genuine purchasers accessing the tickets. This year, all tickets will also be bar-coded as an additional security and verification device.
What forms of photo ID will I need to get into the festival?
Driver's licenses, Proof of Age Cards or a current, valid passport. For over-18s, student ID cards do not qualify, nor do household bills or letters. For under-18s who don’t have a driver's license or a current, valid passport we will also accept a copy of your birth certificate PLUS one of the following:
o a student ID card
o a bus pass
o a bank account statement in your name.
(Please note that anyone aged 14 or under intending to attend Splendour In the Grass MUST be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years. Children aged 5 years and under get in free.)
Are wristbands exchangeable, i.e. can I pass mine onto my friend if I don’t want to stay?
No, once your wristband is on, it should not be removed. Event staff will be checking wristbands over the weekend to check for breakages, stretching etc.
How fast have event tickets sold out in the past?
Each of the festivals has sold out in advance. The 2007 tickets were all gone in around five hours. The 2005 event sold out in 26 hours and 2006 (with a slightly higher capacity) took about 30 hours.
Will you be printing names and dates of birth on tickets again?
Yes.
How do I print the tickets?
When you receive the email with tickets attached, or you download your tickets from www.qjump.com.au you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have it, download it now for free (Make the word Adobe a link to: http://www.adobe.com/reader )
How many event tickets do you sell?
17,500.
What about camping tickets – do they sell out faster?
Yes, because there is a limited quantity they get snapped up very quickly.
What happens if I don’t get the email with my tickets attached?
Login to www.qjump.com.au with your email address and the password you used when creating your membership. Once logged in, you will see an option called ‘My Account’ in the top right corner. From there, select ‘My Order History’ to display all your orders including your Splendour purchase, and follow the prompts on the page to download your tickets directly from the site.
What if I lose my ID before the festival?
You must have valid ID to enter the festival. This isn’t just a ticketing requirement, it’s a legal requirement. Even with a valid ticket, you will not be admitted without ID. Please see the list above for all accepted forms of ID
What if I think someone has a copy of my ticket?
At the event, we will be scanning the barcode on every ticket at the gates. Our scanner will display the name on the ticket; so your ID, our scanner and the ticket must all match. Rest assured, any imposter will be stopped at the gates! However, if you are concerned this has happened before the event, you can get your original barcode cancelled and a new one reissued by logging a request at http://help.qjump.com.au
Will tickets be on sale at the gate?
No.
Can I use my VISA Debit Card to purchase 2008 Splendour tickets from the QJump website (www.qjump.com.au)?
Yes
